It is available in two different versions, with a charging current of 8A and 10A, respectively. The DELTACO e-Charge EV-1231 charging cable is suitable for all vehicles with a Type 2 socket for those who want to charge via a standard Schuko wall outlet. User-friendly, no settings can be made on the charger, simply plug it into the outlet and then into the car to start charging. Silver-plated connections ensure good contact and a long service life. The connection cable is 1.5 meters long, the charging cable is 4 meters long, for a total length of 5.5 meters. The Type 2 connector is equipped with dust protection to protect against dust, dirt, and moisture during storage. The cable's control box has a built-in residual current circuit breaker type A (30mA) and DC protection (6mA). LEDs indicate the charging progress and status during charging. The cable is made of TPU material, which provides good resistance to oil, fire, abrasion, and UV light. The cable is also flexible in cold weather and halogen-free according to EN50620. During charging, the Type 2 handle is mechanically locked in the car to prevent accidental disconnection. To interrupt the charging and disconnect the Type 2 handle, refer to the vehicle's manual for instructions.

The Swedish Electrical Safety Authority, DSB in Norway, Tukes in Finland, and Sikkerhedsstyrelsen in Denmark all advise against regular charging in standard wall outlets and engine preheater outlets. Note that there may be some local variations.

**But in general, the following is recommended:**

Old or faulty connections and cable junctions in the building can cause overheating under high load, which in turn can lead to fires. Therefore, have an electrical installation company check the electrical installation.

Standard wall outlets and engine preheater outlets (Schuko) are not designed for electric vehicle charging and cannot handle recurring high loads for extended periods. Extension cords should not be used as there is a risk that the fuse will not provide proper protection. Additionally, if the control box or extension cord is on the ground, they can easily be damaged. Do not use any equipment between the outlet and the charging cable.
