Technical Information:
To make the Equalizer work on the electricity meter, the customer interface port must be enabled. If it is not enabled, the device will not receive power or be able to transfer data. Contact your network operator to enable the customer interface port. Please note that your local network operator may not necessarily be the same as your electricity operator. Activating the customer interface port can take several days, depending on the network operator. Only the person who owns the electricity meter can activate/open the customer interface port. The owner of the electricity meter is the one listed as the recipient on the electricity bill.
Check your electricity meter or contact your electricity distribution company to ensure that you have an activated HAN port (RJ45) or HAN port (RJ12), also known as P1/H1, depending on the national standard you are referring to. Regardless of which port you have, we at EFUEL can assist you.
At EFUEL, we have chosen to refer to the two variants of the HAN port as RJ45 socket and P1 port for RJ12 socket.
